Camille Secoolish, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday April 11th at her home with her beloved husband and two sons at her side, after a lengthy battle with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Camille, or Cam as known to her close family and friends, was born in Berwick, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 1963 to the late Michael and Antoinette Posick. After graduating from Central Columbia High School she worked as a secretary for Bechtel Power at the Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant where she met the love of her life, Jim. Once married, she and her husband settled in Scranton where they began their lives together, building a home in the Highworks section and raising their two boys, Jimmy and Nick. A loving and devoted stay-at-home mom, her children always came first. She guided and nurtured them into adulthood and lead them to become the exceptional people they are today. She could not have been more proud of both of them.

Cam was a voracious reader of fiction, adored her cats, and had various hobbies over the years. She especially enjoyed getting together with “The Hens”, a wonderful crew of moms and families who socialized and watched their children grow up together. Most of all, she loved music, and spent her life surrounded by it: she played the guitar, liked to sing, and listened to the radio from morning ‘til night. Her favorite avocation was phoning radio stations to win concert tickets, which she did so regularly that she attended hundreds of concerts. “Name that tune”, “Be caller number seven” – whatever the contest, she absolutely dominated in top form for at least a decade.

Camille is survived, and will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 37 years, Jim; two sons James, Scranton, Nicholas and wife Sara, Duryea; sister Michelle and husband Mike, Mifflinville. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends too numerous to mention.

A heartfelt thank you to all family and friends that we were so supportive through their actions and prayers during the difficult period of her illness. The family would also like to thank Dr. Bria Tinsley for all of her excellent care and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Camille’s name to: Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, 1600 Rockland Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803.
