Charlotte C. Surenko, 76 passed away peacefully, Saturday at home, after an extended illness. Born in Scranton, she is the daughter of Hazel Thompson Humphrey, Scranton, and the late Llewellyn Humphrey. A graduate of South Side High School, Newark, NJ, she was of the Protestant Faith and had worked as an accounts receivable clerk for Arthur Pachter and D. G. Nichols Auto Parts of Scranton. She is also survived by one daughter, Denise Bombar and husband Michael, Scranton, one granddaughter, Amanda Marino and husband Michael, Scranton, one great grandson, Nico Marino, two brothers, Lew Humphrey, FL, Edward Humphrey and wife Cathy, Scranton, nieces, nephews cousins and her canine companion, Presley. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Surenko. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, from 4 to 6 pm. Inurnment will be private in Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township.
