Clarence “Ted” Prisco, 85, of West Scranton, died Sunday morning at the Gino Merli Veterans Center. His wife of 61 years is Elizabeth “Betty” Boyko Prisco. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Ruth Marie Prisco. Ted was a 1951 graduate of West Scranton High School, a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Lucy’s Parish, retired after 38 years from McKinney Manufacturing as a supervisor and also did Sunday deliveries for the former Scrantonian newspaper. Ted had been a coach for the West Scranton Little League, the West Scranton Teener League as well as being the chairman for the West Scranton High School Wrestling Boosters and was on the National Selective Service Board for many years. Ted is survived by his wife Betty, one son, Michael Prisco (Eileen), Clarks Summit, three daughters, Ruth Ann Bryan (William) Scranton, JoAnn Paciorka (Richard USCG ret.), Inwood West Virginia, Terri Oreck (Col. Paul Oreck, US Army Ret.), Scranton, six grandchildren, William Bryan III (Michelle), Dana Fezuk (Brendan), Stephen Bryan, Brianna and Joseph Paciorka and Noelle Prisco, several nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by four brothers, Samuel, Alfonso, Robert and Daniel Prisco. Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9 am, from the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Lucy’s Church, 949 Scranton Street, Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Sam J. Ferretti, Pastor. Inurnment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by the United States Army and the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, 4 to 7 pm in the funeral home.
