Eleanor Bruno

Eleanor M. Bruno, 83, of Moosic, passed on Tuesday March 28 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband of 42 years is Joseph M. Bruno. Born in Hughestown, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Ann Lucarelli Frati. Eleanor graduated from Hughestown High School, was a member of Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont and retired as a medical assistant for Northeast Eye. Eleanor was the Valedictorian of her High School Class, and an organ donor. She was active in her church activities and in community functions. Her priest described her as “amazing”, but her family and friends described her as the “best”. Eleanor was a gentle prayerful woman who will remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, sister, Anita Brown and husband Robert, Forty Fort, brother, Attilio Frati Jr., Wilkes-Barre. She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Frank Wozniak, and a sister, Henrietta Barberie. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont.
