Florence Grabowski

Florence Grabowski, 93, of West Scranton, formerly of Jessup, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 surrounded by her family at the Allied Hospice Center, Morgan Highway, Scranton. She was the widow of William Grabowski, a WW II United States Army Veteran, who passes away on July 18, 1982. Born in Olyphant to the late Joseph and Julia Budnovitch Sidlowski, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School and a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, North Scranton. Florence worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry and retired from the former Mid-Valley Hospital’s Dietary Department. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Viscomi, 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 brother, James Sidlosky, 1 sister, Gabrielle Killian, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Erik Grabowski and son in-law, Anthony Viscomi. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Holy Rosary Church at Mary, Mother of God Parish, William Street, North Scranton. Interment followed in St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup.
