Herbert R. Kresge Jr., 79, of the Lincoln Heights section of Taylor, died on Saturday, after being stricken ill at home. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Herbert R. and Mary Reap Kresge. Educated in Duncannon schools, he was a United States Marine Corps veteran and retired from the Tobyhanna Army Depot. He is survived by one son, Herbert R. Kresge, three daughters, Lisa Ann Gruszewski, Francene Malinoski, Nicholina Clark, five grandchildren, Amanda Trento, Joseph Gruszewski, Sierra Kresge, Ashdon Clark and Abbey Malinoski. He was predeceased by one brother, Robert Kresge and one sister, Margaret Ryan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, for family and friends from 2 to 4 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Military Honors will be accorded by the Marine Corps League of Scranton. Encryptment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
