Thomas Jaworski

Thomas Charles Jaworski, 56 of Ransom, passed unexpectedly Wednesday at home. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Christine Jaworski, whom he loved dearly. Born in West Scranton, to the late Thomas and Romayne Jaworski, he was a 1979 graduate of West Scranton High School and also attended Penn State University. Tom was a well-known and highly respected business owner along with his wife Christine of Jaworski Sign Company, West Scranton. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved nothing more than time spent with his family. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed spending his Sunday’s watching football with his family and friends. Tom loved the outdoors; especially gardening, hunting, fishing, and taking care of his chickens along with listening to his classic rock music every day. Tom was a hardworking man and a wonderful person who was quickly adored by all who knew him. Also surviving are three sons, Matthew Jaworski and fiancée, Sara Swingle, Pittston, Thomas Jaworski Jr. and wife Christina, Old Forge, Joseph Jaworski and wife Amanda, Scranton, nine grandchildren, Alexa, Faith, Joseph, Kyle, Austin, Dylan, Cassandra, Elizabeth, Stephanie, one sister, Michelle Malinko and husband Gary, Old Forge, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Fran Landry, CCP, Pastor on Monday at 10 am in St. Ann’s Basilica with interment to follow in SS Peter & Paul R. C. Cemetery, Taylor. Viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, 3 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
