William Jude Reiss, 58, of South Scranton, died Tuesday. His loving wife of 17 years is Sally Moro Smith Reiss. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late William L. and Teresa D. Sereta Reiss. A 1975 graduate of GAR High School, he was an Army veteran, serving as a motor pool specialist in Germany. Bill was the owner operator of Bill’s Repair Garage in Wilkes-Barre Twp., where he was a motorcycle and automotive mechanic. He attended Elk Dale Baptist Church, West Clifford and was a member of the Scranton Nativity Social Club and the Ashley American Legion. Bill was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed riding his Harley throughout the area. He is survived by three sisters Nancy Reiss, Pensacola, FL., Michele Polifko and husband Andy, Wilkes-Barre, Donna Everett and husband William, Wilkes-Barre, two brothers, Stanley Reiss, Kingston, Paul Reiss, Wilkes-Barre, five step children, James Smith, Robert Smith Jr., Rebekah Stiltenpole, Daniel Smith, David Smith, three step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Friday, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Scranton by the Rev. Frank Bissol, Pastor of Elk Dale Baptist Church of West Clifford. Memorials can be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Interment was in Bear Brook Cemetery, Madison Township.
