Antoinette Cipriano, 91, of Taylor, died Friday at Geisinger/CMC. Her husband of 65 years, Anthony “Cubby” Cipriano, died March 9, 2013. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Peti Antoinelli. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and received an Associate of Business Degree from Lackawanna Junior College. Antoinette was a homemaker, dedicated to raising her children and seeing to all of their needs. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Lucy’s Church, West Scranton and was a member of the church Altar and Rosary Society and church choir. Antoinette was a loving wife, mother, mother inlaw, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and loyal friend to many lifelong friendships. She would volunteer at cooking and serving at St. Lucy’s annual spaghetti and meatball dinner. She was the epic baker and cook, sharing old world cookies and specialty cakes and her homemade Italian dinners with her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Frable and husband Larry, Old Forge, Paula Kowalski and husband Joseph, Taylor, three sons, Louis Cipriano, Taylor, Anthony Cipriano and wife Nancy, Moscow, Thomas Cipriano and wife Rose, Scranton, eight grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, two brothers inlaw, Rev. Joseph Cipriano, Charles Ardoline, one sister inlaw, Ellen Cipriano, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Filomena Antoinelli. A special thank you is extended to Ann Monancelli and Anthony Killino for their kindness and assistance in helping with Antoinette’s daily routine and appointments. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, at 9:15 from the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Lucy’s Church to be celebrated by her brother inlaw, Rev Joseph Cipriano. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be Monday, 4 to 7 pm.
