ATTN OBITS: Henrietta E. Golembeski, died September 30, 2023

Henrietta E. Golembeski, 100, of Scranton, passed on September 30, at Oak Ridge Rehab and Health Care Center, Taylor. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Novotka. Henrietta was a graduate of Taylor High School and had been employed at Linen Systems and was a self-employed hairdresser. She was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, West Locust Street, Scranton. She is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Stone, Taylor, Marie Snyder, Old Forge, nieces and caregivers, Sandra Hill, Old Forge and Cynthia Stone, Scranton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Constance, and five siblings; Helen Savinelli, Edward Novotka, Theodore Novotka, Henry Novotka and Agnes Gursky. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 16 at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Taylor, at 11 am by the Rev. James Paisley. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Scranton.
