A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 23, at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Mary, Mother of God Parish, 316 William Street, North Scranton.

The family will receive friends in the church, 9 am until time of Mass.

Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army and the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard.

Michael M. Kuchwara, 69, of Dickson City, passed on Tuesday, June 15 at Allied Skilled Nursing after a lengthy illness. His loving wife of 20 years is Sandi Widdick Kuchwara. Born in Scranton, he is the son of the late John and Rose Kelly Kuchwara. Michael was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and served three years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Michael was employed by United States Postal Service and retired after 25 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith, a member of the American Legion Post 665, Dickson City where he was a Life Member and served on its board. Mike was an avid golfer who loved golfing with his son John and played on the Polish Club of North Scranton Golf League. Along with his wife Sandi, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kuchwara, Scranton, son John Kuchwara, Scranton, granddaughters; Emily Kuchwara, Angelina Brink and great grandson Demari Brink. Sisters; Ann Marie Colo and husband Casper, Dunmore, Margaret Susie Aulisio and husband David, Dunmore, brothers; James Kuchwara and companion, Linda Rade, Scranton, Sam Kuchwara and wife Gail, Dickson City, one Aunt, Irene Occhipinti, Dunmore, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kuchwara and sisters; Rosemary Kuchwara and Alice Kelly, his first  wife, the mother of his daughter and son, Jacqueline Williams Kuchwara, and second wife, Sharon Price Kuchwara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 23, at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Mary, Mother of God Parish, 316 William Street, North Scranton. The family will receive friends in the church, 9 am until time of Mass.
