Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with a Funeral Divine Liturgy at 10 am in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. Leonard A. Martin, SJ, Pastor. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow. Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 3 to 7 pm, with a Panachyda Service at 5 pm in the funeral home.

Robert J. Sniegowski, 82 of Scranton, died on Thursday at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. His wife of 56 years is Sue Dubish Sniegowski. Born In Fenton, NY, he is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Sniegowski. Bob was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, a United States Navy Veteran serving as a Radio Operator in Guam, a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Scranton, retired from the VA Office of Personnel Management, Wilkes-Barre and was the treasurer for the former St. Mary’s Church Holy Name Society. He is also survived by two sons, Robert Sniegowski Jr. and wife Diane, Old Forge, United States Navy Captain, John Sniegowski and wife Christine, Fairfax, VA, four grandchildren, Rachel, Meaghan, Jason and Matthew Sniegowski, one brother, Joseph Sniegowski and wife Rita, Scranton, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one brother, George Sniegowski. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 am in the Edward J.
