Sister Aneveen Zielinski, 86, of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters, died of natural causes on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at St. Joseph Villa, Mount Alvernia, Reading, PA., where she resided since 2011. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Eva Sztubinski Zielinski. Sister Aneveen entered the Bernardine Sisters on February 2, 1950 and was in her 65th year of religious life. Sister earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Villanova University and served her ministry in Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania as a teacher, principal and superior. Sister Aneveen last served at Holy Rosary School in Duryea. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Zielinski, Clarks Summit, two sisters, Sophie and Irene Zielinski of Scranton, nephews, Stanley, Joseph, Thomas and Richard Kowaleski, Joseph, Michael and Paul Zielinski and Joseph Wesolowski, nieces, Janet Healey, Maria Solomon and Evanne Besko. Sister was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Chester and Felix Zielinski and two sisters, Helen Kowaleski and Monica Wesolowski. A viewing will be held at St. Joseph Villa, 464 St. Bernardine Street, Reading, PA, on Wednesday, beginning at 2 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11 am, at Sacred Heart Convent Chapel, 460 St. Bernardine Street, Reading. Interment will follow in the Bernardine Sisters’ Cemetery, Mt.
