Lisa Arthur

Lisa Yurchak Arthur, 56, of Dickson City, passed Monday morning, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Her husband of 37 years is Glen J. Arthur. Lisa was born in Scranton and is the daughter of Ann Marie Yurchak, Olyphant, and the late Robert W. “Bob” Yurchak Sr. Lisa was a 1982 graduate of Mid Valley High School, was of the Catholic Faith and worked for many years at Family Dollar. Lisa loved spending time with all of her family and their children, camping, crafting, playing scrabble, gardening with her granddaughter and was always more than happy to help anyone she ever met. Lisa had beaten esophageal cancer for 4 years. Lisa’s family would like to personally and sincerely thank Dr. Kishori Veerabhadrappa, MD, Erica Longstreet and everyone at Hematology / Oncology of Dunmore and Hospice of the Sacred Heart of Dunmore. She is survived by her children, Glen N. Arthur and companion Georgia Juris, Dickson City and Amy Arthur, Dickson City, her granddaughter, Gabriella Arthur, and her two sisters; Janice Yurchak, Olyphant, and Karen Dolph and husband Thomas, Archbald. Along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Robert “Rob” Yurchak Jr. Viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, 4 to 7 pm, and on Monday, 11 am until time of Service at 12 noon officiated by Sarah Moutain, Hospice of the Sacred Heart Chaplain in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Entombment will be in Dunmore Cemetery. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice of the Sacred Heart or The For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation.

Viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, 4 to 7 pm, and on Monday, 11 am until time of Service at 12 noon officiated by Sarah Moutain, Hospice of the Sacred Heart Chaplain in the Funeral Home.

Entombment will be in Dunmore Cemetery.
