Kim Alan Sebert, 69, passed away on March 17, 2022, at home. His wife of 20 years is Jane Sebert. Kim was born on April 20, 1952 in Garrett, IN, to Albert and Marjorie Sebert.
Kim graduated from East Noble High School and attended Indiana University of Perdue before joining the Navy in 1972 serving on the USS Midway during the fall of Saigon. He started his career as a Media Specialist for Bowling Green State University after returning from the military and then went on to work at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Kim was also a HAM Radio operator and his call sign was “KC8PCB”
Kim is survived by his wife Jane Sebert, Dunmore, his mother, Marjorie Sebert, Indiana, one daughter Erin Sebert and husband Richard, Ohio three sons Peter Sebert and wife Alisia, Ohio, William Thompson, Esq. and fiancée Lorissa, Clarks Summit, David Thompson and wife Carrie, Dunmore, one brother Craig Sebert and wife Peggy, Indiana. Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his Goldendoodle Molly. Kim is preceded in death by his father, Albert Sebert.
A memorial service for Kim will be held on Monday from 4-7 in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton with a blessing service at 6:30. In lieu of flowers the family requests to have donations made in Kim’s name to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William Street Dunmore, PA 18512.
