Mary Ann Kujawski, 93, of West Scranton, passed away on Friday, June 23 at Geisinger CMC. She was the widow of Anthony P. Kujawski, who died in 1996. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Wanda Walesiak. Mary Ann was educated in SS Peter And Paul Catholic Elementary School, graduated from West Scranton High School, Lackawanna Business College and St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church and was employed at the former Mercy Hospital as a RN in the emergency room until her retirement. Mary Ann volunteered for her church’s fundraising events and was a member of the church senior citizens group. She is survived by two sons, Robert Kujawski and wife Jan, Arizona, Paul Kujawski, Scranton, a granddaughter, Veronica Lynn Dierks and husband Charles, Arizona, one great granddaughter, Kyland, one sister, Bernice Bullick, Scranton, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her parents and two siblings, Carol Kozloski and Stanley Walesiak.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 9:30 am at SS Peter and Paul R.C. Church, 1309 West Locust Street, Scranton, by the Rev. Fr. Sam J. Ferretti, Pastor. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery, Arrangements under the care and direction of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
