Frank E. Kishel Jr., 71, of Scranton, died Tuesday in the Geisinger/CMC VNA Hospice unit. His wife of 47 years is Nancy Kansavage Kishel. Born in Taylor, he is the son of the late Frank and Agnes Gall Kishel. A graduate of North Pocono High School, he was a Marine Corps, Vietnam era veteran, attended Mary Mother of God Parish, retired as a glazer for Anthracite Plate Glass and was a member of the Painters and Glazers Union, Local 216. Frank was a loving husband, father, father in-law, brother and poppy who lived for and adored his grandchildren. Along with his wife Nancy he is survived by 1 son, Mark F. Kishel and fiancé Anita Segilia, Moscow, 1 daughter, Jacqueline Monahan and husband PA National Guard Lt. Col. Patrick Monahan, Spring Brook Twp., 2 grandchildren, Patrick and Maura Monahan, 3 sisters, Mary Ann Hoffman, Spring Brook, Diane Gorba, Reading, Cynthia Klemick, Dupont, 2 brothers, Joseph and John Kishel, Spring Brook Twp., nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Meghan Monahan, 2 sisters, Elaine Kishel, Carol O’Hara, 1 brother Roger Kishel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 am in Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Inurnment will follow with military honors at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
