James Rodeman, 62, died unexpectedly at home on January 24, 2015. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Fred and Anna Drost Rodeman. He was a 1970 graduate of West Scranton High School and received an Associate Degree from Lackawanna Junior College. He was an Army Viet Nam era veteran having served in South Carolina and El Paso Texas. He had been employed at the Glider Diner, Scranton, Moletsky’s Service Station, Scranton and McCarthy Tire, Wilkes-Barre. Jim was an avid walker who enjoyed the outdoors and was an active member of the East End Crime Watch. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Smith, Reading, Shirley Zindle, Clarks Summit, aunts, uncles, two nieces, four nephews, two great nieces and four great nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1 pm, in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 425 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, with the Rev. Lester Stephenson officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Arrangements by the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Scranton.
