Angelo M. (Blackie) Migliori, 87, of Tripp Park, died Tuesday at the Gino Merli Veterans Center. His wife is Mildred Maslar Bryndzia Migliori. His first wife Ann Rencavage Migliori died October 27, 1996. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Mario and Rosaria Yacovoni Migliori. A graduate of Mother Cabrini School he was a WW II Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre as a SeaBee and was awarded the Purple Heart from wounds received in the Philippines. Angelo was self-employed HVAC contractor until his retirement and was a lifelong member of St. Lucy’s Church, VFW Post 6528 and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. Angelo was a loving husband, father, papa and a friend to many, who brought love and excitement to everyone. He shared his special Italian sauce with everyone and occasionally entertained with his Mario Lanza voice and harmonica playing. He is also survived by 2 sons, Joseph Migliori, Scranton, Paul Migliori and wife Deborah, Hanover Twp., 2 daughters, Rosemary Green and husband John, Scranton, Angela Lowry and husband Hank, Scranton. 8 grandchildren, John, Michael, Marty and Kevin Green, Angela, William and Lesley D’Andrea, Mario Migliori, 17 great grandchildren, 1 stepson, Michael Bryndzia and wife Pam, Scranton, 7 stepdaughters, Mary Rose DeLarosa and husband Ray, El Centro, CA, Rita Russo and husband Tony, Clarks Summit, Joan Walsh, Scranton, Emmalee Hepplewhite and husband Charlie, Ft. Myers, FL, Danielle Hughes and husband Gary, Scranton, Diann Wolfe and husband Jimi, Scranton, Tanya Bryndzia, Scranton, 8 step-grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mary Vizentine, Lake Winola, 3 brothers, Nicholas, Martino and John Migliori, all of Lake Winola, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Benjamin, Casper and Salvatore Migliori, 1 toddler sister, Lucy, 1 daughter inlaw, Joann Migliori. A heartfelt Thank You is extended to the Gino Merli Veterans Center and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate and loving care that was given to Angelo and his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Lucy’s Church, 949 Scranton, Street, Scranton, 18504. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10 am in St. Lucy’s Church, by Rev. Sam J. Ferretti, Pastor. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends at St. Lucy’s Church on Friday from 9:15 am until time of Mass. Arrangements by the Edward J.
