Elizabeth “Betty” Rohland, 68, of West Scranton, died Tuesday night in the ICU of Moses-Taylor Hospital. Her husband of 19 years is Kenneth M. Rohland. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Neary Jordan. Betty was a 1968 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and received a degree in nursing from the University of Alaska and worked as a private duty nurse. Betty was a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and a friend to many, who enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, pinochle and was a doting grandmother. Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, Sean and wife Allison, Terrell, TX, Robert and companion Tabitha, Scranton, Kenneth J. and wife Debbie, Scranton, one daughter, Kimberly, Scranton, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Catherine Jordan, VA, three brothers, Patrick Jordan, Abington Manor, Walter Jordan and wife Evelyn, Dickson City, Thomas Jordan and wife Fran, Taylor, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one sister, Ann Marie Rama and two brothers, Robert and James Jordan. Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, 4 to 7 pm, with Services at 6:30 pm by the Rev. Fr. Tim Cadigan, S.J.in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
