Anya S. Galarza became our little angel in heaven on June 24, 2018. Anya was born in Scranton on February 4, 2016 to Luis and Kimberly McGraw Galarza.
To her family, Anya was perfect. She was adventurous and curious. She spent her days dancing and singing. Anya had a beautiful spirit and the pure innocence of a 2 year old. She enjoyed everything Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, and Yo Gabba Gabba. She knew all of her colors, several songs, and the names of all her family and characters from the shows she loved. Everything her mom cooked was “delicious” and she really loved chocolate milk and ice cream. Every day was better with Anya around.
Anya was an organ donor with the hope that what she gave, will help many of those in need.
Anya is also survived by three brothers, Antonio, Alexander, and Asher Galarza, maternal grandfather, Paul Sekelsky, Scranton, paternal grandmother, Gladys Galarza, Philadelphia, three aunts, Jennifer Zajatz, Jessica Griffiths, Amanda Monk, two uncles, Paul Sekelsky Jr. and Joseph Sekelsky. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Sandra Sekelsky and paternal grandfather, Ralph. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Family and friends are invited to the calling hours on Saturday, 3 to 5:30 pm, followed by services at 5:30, by the Rev. Deacon, Carmine Mendicino.
