IMG-7477Carlie Holland 19, of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Carlie is survived by her infant daughter, Nadia Mercy Holland, her twin sister and best friend, Kaitlyn Holland, brother, Ronnie Evans, four additional sisters, Amirah, Leila, Kaliyah and Talia Baxter. Carlie also leaves behind her mother, Erin Baxter, aunts, Nicole Holland and Kristi Holland; uncle, Tom Holland III and wife Francesca Holland, her grandfather, Tom Holland Jr., and companion Marie Godlewski, her great grandmother, Delores Ozack, and an extended network of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother and legal guardian, Susan Holland. Carlie was a bright-eyed and compassionate person who is deeply treasured by those who loved her. Always quick with a kind word, a loving touch, or a heartfelt compliment for the people she cared about. Carlie was a true blessing in the many lives she touched. Her heart overflowed with love for her beautiful baby daughter, who was her greatest joy. In keeping with Carlie’s caring spirit, her final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation. Private services were held on Thursday, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, officiated by the Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodgers, S.J.  Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
