Albert Oconnor

Albert J. Oconnor, 34 of Scranton, died on Saturday. Born in Scranton, he is the son of Deborah Stawinsky Beavers and step-father Lee Beavers, and Albert Oconnor. Albert was educated in West Scranton High School, was of the Catholic Faith and worked as a mechanic for Red Line Towing of Dickson City. He is also survived by three brothers, Dennis Stawinsky and wife Christine, Christopher Oconnor, Shawn Oconnor, one sister, Melissa Schmidt and husband Frank, maternal grandmother, Eleanor Stawinsky, all of Scranton, nieces, nephews, two great nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael Oconnor, maternal grandfather, Jacob Stawinsky, paternal grandparents, Harold and Edith Oconnor. He had a love for his best four legged friend, Digger, followed by the love and devotion he had for boating with his nieces, camping every year, to never missing a chance to video every race at Hamlin Speedway for his nephew. Services will be held on Friday, at 6:30 pm, by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Viewing for family and friends will be 4 pm till time of service at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Services will be held on Friday, at 6:30 pm, by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.

Viewing for family and friends will be 4 pm till time of service at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Elmhurst.
