Andrew Martinelli Sr.

Andrew A. Martinelli Sr., 48, of Dickson City, passed away Saturday night in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre where he had been a heart patient. Born in Peckville, he is the son of Delores Hudak Martinelli, Dickson City and the late William Martinelli. He was a 1987 graduate of Valley View High School and was employed at the former Mayflower Manufacturing and presently at Hendrick Manufacturing, Carbondale. Andrew was a social member of the Eynon American Legion and had been an avid bowler. He leaves behind one son, Andrew A. Jr, West Scranton, one sister, Dorie Michalik and husband Greg, St. Petersburg, FL, two brothers, Bill Martinelli and wife Colleen, Dickson City, Gery Martinelli and wife Cheryl, Scott Twp., his girlfriend, Dolores Rios, Scranton, his former wife, Michalena (Kowalski) Martinelli, West Scranton, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am, by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, 5 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home.
