Blanche Danchak

Blanche R. Danchak, 93, formerly of the Bellevue section of Scranton, passed on Wednesday, October 26, at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington Twp., PA. She was the widow of John Danchak Sr, who passed in 1983. Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Stella Dzikowski Miesionczek. Blanche was educated in Scranton schools and had worked for Parody Cigar of Scranton as a wrapper. She was a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church in South Scranton and St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, Dickson City.

She is survived by two sons; John Danchak and wife Jacqueline, Scott Twp., Brian Danchak and wife Martha Jane, Chalfont, eight grandchildren; Sander Danchak Zack Danchak, Ryan Dandrea, Michael Dandrea, Heather Bochnovich and husband Colin, Stephanie Boyd and husband Andrew, Jaclyn Beldowski and husband Michael, Maggie Danchak, seven great grandchildren, sister; Frances Loss, Scranton, brother; Edward Miesionczek, Florida, several nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her parents, her husband John, a daughter, Melissa Dandrea, a grandson, Jack Danchak, three brothers; John, Stanley and Walter Miesionczek, one sister; Mary Buczak.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, 5 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 am, in St. Ann’s Basilica. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, South Scranton.
