Brian Bouton, 43, of West Scranton, passed peacefully Sunday at home with his family at his side. His wife of 12 years is Stacey Matticks Bouton. Born in Scranton, he is the son of Christine Hill Bouton, Scranton and the late Alexander G. Bouton who passed on March 19, 2015. Brian worked in law enforcement as a Lackawanna County Deputy Sheriff and as a Police Officer for the Wilkes-Barre Township, Police Department serving in their Special Investigations Unit.
Brian is also survived by two sons, Brandon Bouton and wife Emily, Laceyville and Conor Bouton, at home, two daughters; Ashley Matticks and companion Andrew Bednarek, Dunmore, Beyonce Blasko, at home and one granddaughter Ansley Mills, one brother, Todd Bouton and fiancée Cynthia McGuire, Scranton, nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Alexander G. and sister, Tammy Bouton as well as both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at St. Anns Basilica, 1233 St. Ann Street, Scranton, PA 18504, celebrated by the Rev. Richard Burke, C.P., Pastor. Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, 3 to 7 pm, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, 1708 Oram Street, Scranton, PA 18504. Those attending the viewing or Mass are kindly requested to wear masks.
