Carl E. Elgin, 74, of West Scranton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at his home. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Carl and Pauline Kowalski Elgin. He was a graduate of West Scranton Senior High School class of 1968. Before retirement, he worked for Allied Food Services and retired from Dunbar Armed Services as a Vault Manager. Carl’s hobby and passion was working on cars and collecting antiques. He spent most of his time rebuilding classic cars and trucks, with his son Cody. He is survived by his partner of 38 years, Elizabeth “Liz: Adkins, three sons; Carl Elgin, Carl E. Elgin, both of Luzerne County, Cody Elgin and fiancee Selina Kaminski, Scranton, daughter, Kelly Crossin, Scranton, grandson, Brayden, daughters Renee Elgin and Linda Elgin, both of Luzerne County, sister Linda Nalley and husband, Jim, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Pauline Kowalski Elgin. The Funeral Service will be officiated on Saturday at 12:00 PM in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton . Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Taylor. Friends may call Saturday, 10 am till time of services at 12 noon in the Funeral Home.
