Charles R. “Charlie” Hepplewhite, 51, formerly of Scranton, died Saturday July 4th at Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers, FL. His wife is Emma Lee Bryndzia Hepplewhite, Fort Myers. Born in Couvron, France, he is the son of Robert and Gerlinde “Jessie” Lennartz Hepplewhite, Scott Twp. Charlie was a graduate of West Scranton High School and received his BS in Accounting from Wilkes University. He attended the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, Fort Myers and was a Business Manager for Haystak Digital Marketing in Fort Myers. He is also survived by one daughter, Leah, at home, one brother, William Hepplewhite and wife Dianne, Scott Twp., one sister, Elizabeth Maslyar and husband Robert, Springville, Wyoming County, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, in-laws and his best pal, Rosco.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, West Scranton, by the Rev. Martin A. Boylan, Pastor. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, 4 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the donor’s preferred charity.
