David F. Perry

David F. Perry, 66, of North Scranton, died Monday, while fishing in Lackawaxen Township, Pike County. His wife is Anita Scovazzo Perry and the couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on September 19. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Francis F. and Mary D. Davies Perry. David was a 1966 graduate of Scranton Central High School, a graduate of Culinary Arts at Luzerne County Community College and an Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. David had worked for Superior Generator & Armature Co., and retired from Scranton Lace Co. He was a volunteer chef at St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and was the employed week-end chef for the Kitchen. Surviving are nieces, nephews and many friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother John. There are no calling hours. As per David’s wishes, cremation took place at Sunlight Crematory. Arrangements directed by the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
