Donna Domnick, 70, of West Scranton, passed on to eternal life Tuesday night at home with her daughter Stacy at her side following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. She was the widow of William Domnick, who passed away in 2019. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Sr. and Bernice King. Donna was a graduate of the former Scranton St. Patrick’s High School, a member of St. Patrick’s parish, was a stay-at-home Mom until her children were grown and then worked as a Scranton School District school bus driver until she retired. She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Stacy Shattuck and husband, Bryan, Throop, two sons; Jerry Booths and wife Michelle, Lehighton, Shawn Booths, Scranton, four grandsons; Rigel and Tristan Shattuck, Wyatt and Cole Booths.
Donna enjoyed many things in life including true crime shows and anything on food network, time on her best friend Margaret’s porch and enjoying a cup with those who shared her love of coffee. Nothing in the world brought her more joy than family. She spoke to her children daily, rejoicing in their every moment.
The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Geisinger CMC, Allied home hospice and Donna’s personal aides, “Nadia”, Lori, Carol, Latonya and Carol.
Services will be held in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, at 7 pm, Monday, by the Rev. Fr. Richard Fox. Viewing for family and friends will be 5 to 7. Interment will be private in Cathedral Cemetery.
