Edward Bandru, 90, of Scranton, passed on Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2022 at Abington Manor. His wife of 67 years, Rose M. Bandru, passed on September 25, 2021. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Bandru. Educated in Scranton schools, served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WW II and Korea. After retiring from the Army, Ed began his civilian career working at Tobyhanna Army Depot and retired from Topps Manufacturing in Duryea. When Ed returned from the Army, he and Rose settled in the Keyser Valley section of West Scranton. Ed and Rose had no children or surviving siblings. Services will be on Tuesday, at 10 am officiated by Deacon Carmine Mendicino, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township. Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 4 to 6 pm. Full Military Honors will be accorded.
