Eleanor C. Petrillo

Eleanor C. Petrillo, 94, of the Lincoln Heights section of Taylor, passed on Saturday, November 9, at Regional Hospital of Scranton, after being stricken ill at home. She was the widow of Anthony Petrillo who passed in 1975. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Josephine Gorlesky. She was a graduate of SS Peter and Paul Elementary School, West Scranton and finished her public education at Taylor High School. Eleanor worked in the garment industry and retired as a server from Corky’s of downtown Scranton. Eleanor was a former member of SS Peter and Paul R.C. Church, West Scranton and was a devoted Catholic.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, to in-clude, her caregivers, Robert and Lisa Kohut of Pittston. A special thank you to her private caregivers; Mary Theresa, Pena, Kevin, Jennifer and Tracy.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Wanda Kohut, Jean Vinskie, Joseph, Edward, Stanley and John Gorlesky and her significant other, John “Cappy” Caporelli.

Her private viewing was on Wednesday, followed by burial at Cathedral Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements were under the direction and care of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Scranton.
