Evelyn H. Kachuroi

Evelyn H. Kachuroi, 94, of the Tripp Park section of West Scranton, passed on Monday, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center. She was the widow of the late Joseph J. Kachuroi, who passed in 1979. Born in Solvay, NY, she is the daughter of the late Armand and Aldina Soares. Evelyn was a 1947 graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School, retired from the National Pretzel Company and was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, West Scranton. Evelyn was a caring and giving mother and is survived by her two children, Joseph Kachuroi, Scottsdale, AZ and Anne Hayed, Media, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, by the Rev. Fr. Richard Fox at 10 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1605 Oram Street, Scranton 18504. Visitation for family and friends will be held in the church, 9 am until time of Mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.

Following services, all guests are invited to the Glider Diner which was Evelyn’s favorite lunch restaurant.
