Frances K. Jordan, 66, of Taylor, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton. Her husband of 31 years is Thomas “Malcolm” Jordan. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Catherine Peterson. Frances was a 1970 graduate of West Scranton High School and a member of St. Lucy’s Church, West Scranton. After working 31 years for Bell Telephone and Verizon, she retired and started a second career with the Scranton Times Circulation Department until her illness. She is survived by her sister, Rosalie Levandoski and husband Kenneth and their son Sam, brother in-law, Walter and Evelyn Jordan, Sisters in-law, Catherine Jordan, Josephine Jordan, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister, Annie Peterson, brothers in-law, Patrick, Robert and James Jordan, sisters in-law, Ann Marie Rama and Elizabeth Rohland. The family extends a grateful thank you to Drs. Yeager, Jalowicz, the staff and nurses at Moses-Taylor Hospital, Mountain View Care Center and Allied Hospice, for the compassionate care given to Frances. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, 4 to 6 pm. Blessing services will be conducted at 6 pm by the Rev. Deacon, Carmine Mendicino. Interment will be private.
