Gail L. Zackoski, 75, of Scranton, passed on Sunday morning at the Allied Hospice Center with
her loved ones at her side. Her husband of 57 years is Richard P. Zackoski. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Margaret Evans Jenkins. Gail was a 1967 graduate of West Scranton High School, was employed as a scanner coordinator for more than 20 years at Gerrity’s at Keyser Plaza and retired from Goodwill Industries.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, their children, Richard Jr and wife Wendy, Clarks Summit, Kimberly Osterhout and husband, Christopher, Clarks Summit, 4 grandchildren; Richard III and wife Jennifer, Kyle, Tayler and Jenna, 5 great grandchildren; Isabella, Ava, Emma, Grayson and AJ.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Jenkins.
As per Gail’s wishes, she chose cremation. A Memorial Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, 2 to 4 pm, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Condolences may be left on www.chomkofuneralhome.com
