George Gyuriska

George David Gyuriska Sr., 75, of Scranton, passed Friday, after being stricken ill at home. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late George and Regina Gyuriska. George was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Johnson College and received an MBA from Marywood University. He served in the United States Air Force and had been employed as a para-legal for the Ralph Carey Law Firm, and retired from the Pennsylvania State Unemployment office in Scranton. He is survived by three daughters, Dawn Vititoe, Monroe County, Georgina Gyuriska, Scranton, Andrea Gyuriska, Scranton, two sons; George David Gyuriska Jr., Colorado, Gregory Irwin Gyuriska and wife Ashley King Gyuriska, Scranton. Six grandchildren, two sisters; Cindy Palmetessa and husband Paul, SC, Janet Fowler and husband Gary, SC, two brothers; Bruce Gyuriska and wife Laurel, SC, Mark Gyuriska, Emmaus, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, officiated by Deacon Carmine Mendicino at 10 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow in the Dunmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9 am till time of services.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, officiated by Deacon Carmine Mendicino at 10 am in the Funeral Home.
