Jane Towle

Jane Towle, 69, passed away on Tuesday, at Geisinger/CMC surrounded by her loving fiancée, William “Bill” Gilpin and family. Born in Somerset, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mona Mitzkewich Towle and step-father, the late Peter Makatura. Jane was a graduate of North Hunterdon High School, Annandale, NJ, was a self-employed realtor and served her country as a United States Marine, at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Indiana. Jane was also employed as a writer and reporter for the Hunterdon Democrat, and was a manager and model for Flemington Furs. Jane was a very strong individual with her creative wit. Nothing could stop her determination to complete any project she started. Jane’s favorite past-times were the beach, casinos and thrift shopping. Jane leaves behind her loving fiancée Bill and her siblings, Barbara Finneran, Scranton, John Makatura, Lindley, NY, 3 grandchildren, Amanda Kitzmiller, Eric Opitz, Sarah Opitz, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, George Towle.
