Janet Prislupsky

Janet Prislupsky, beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 87. Born in Banbury, England, Janet later made her home in Taylor, Pennsylvania, after being stationed all over the world with her husband and daughters.

Affectionately known as “Nannie,” Janet was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for crochet, often crafting beautiful pieces that she lovingly shared with her family. She loved going on casino cruises with her late sister. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family were evident in everything she did, especially in the way she doted on her great-grandchildren—Kalani, JaeLynn, Neveah, Na’Kai, and Naquan.

Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Prislupsky, daughters, Deborah and Tina Marie Prislupsky, and siblings Anthony Townsend and Carol Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Mattern, and granddaughters Jozette Mattern Foster (Byron Foster) and Tina Marie Mattern (Jason Rivera), and brother, David Townsend.

A devoted Byzantine Catholic, Janet’s faith was an important part of her life, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her years. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
