Jill A. Donovan, of Moosic, died Tuesday at home after an extended illness. Her husband is David J. Donovan, and the couple celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on April 28. Born on August 6th, 1975, she is the daughter of Frank J. and Carol Witowski Shuminski, Scranton, and daughter in-law of Robert and Mary Ann Donovan, Scranton. The couple have 2 children, Caroline and Colin, at home. Jill was a 1993 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and received a BSNRN from Bloomsburg University. She had previously worked in the three city hospitals as an attending RN, then as a pharmaceutical representative up until her illness. She is also survived by three sisters, Wendy Worobey and husband James, Dunmore, Susan Miklos and husband Peter, Elizabethtown, PA, Jamie Shuminski, Scranton, and one brother, Robert Shuminski and wife Patty, Doylestown, PA, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be on Saturday, at 9:45 am from the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church at Divine Mercy Parish, Minooka. Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be private.
