Kathleen McGahern Larkin, 88, passed at home surrounded by loved ones on Jan. 26 in Lake Ariel, Pa.
Born and raised in New York City, she was a country girl at heart. In 1957 she left her position as a technician with RCA to move to West Milford, N.J., with her husband, Simon Larkin, where they raised their children. Kathleen’s greatest love was children and she opened her heart and home to so many, with whom she shared her greatest gift, instilling a sense of love and confidence in each children, with whom she came in contact.
Predeceased by her husband, Simon; her sisters, Rosalie Beaury and Margaret Maas. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Recchia; her children, Kevin Coker and wife, Karen; Kathleen Larkin; Eileen Culley and husband, Bill; Coleen Ayers; Simon Larkin and wife, Debbie; and was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
It’s hard to imagine a family party without her laughter, joy and singing, but we will do our best as we honor her wish to celebrate her life with family and friends at a future gathering. She often asked, “Who loves ya, baby?” We all did and we thank you for all of the wonderful memories.
