Lee M. Beavers, 70, of Scranton died Monday, November 27, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Dunmore. He was the husband of Deborah Stawinsky Beavers. Born and educated in Scranton, Lee worked several different types of jobs from being a laborer to working at a local scrap yard to being a mechanic. He departed this world surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. He was more than just a father; he was a dedicated family man who instilled the values of love, integrity, and hard work in all who were fortunate enough to know him. His departure leaves an indescribable void in our lives, but his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. One of his greatest joys in life was his love for cars. Whether he was under the hood, at a car show, or sharing stories about his favorite rides, his eyes would light up with enthusiasm. His unwavering support, wisdom, and the joy he brought to our lives will be deeply missed. the echoes of his laughter, the warmth of his embrace, and the shared moments at car shows will forever resonate. The family would like to thank his nurse Holly and the Hospice of Sacred Heart for all the care and support. Along with his wife, Lee is survived by four sons, Dennis Stawinsky and wife Christine , Scranton, Christopher and Shawn Oconnor, Scranton, and Timothy Fettes, Clifford, two daughters, Melissa Schmidt and husband Frank, Scranton and Karen Osborne and husband Jerry, Scranton, one sister Faye Jones, Scranton, two brothers James and Gene Beavers, Scranton, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by two sons Albert and Michael Oconnor and one brother Christopher Beavers. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 PM in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave. 18505, West Scranton. Reverend Ginger Daubenhauser will officiate a blessing service at 7:30 in the funeral home. A graveside service and interment are scheduled on Saturday at 10am in Fairview Memorial Park INC., Elmhurst.
