Margaret Holubosky, 85 of Moosic, died Thursday evening at home. She was the widow of Walter Holubosky who died in 1992. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne Garich Durkot. Educated in Scranton schools, she was a former member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Scranton and had worked for Westinghouse Electric, Irvington, NJ, and retired as a Nanny. Margie was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She was an avid fan of the New York Giants Football team and was captivated with the game show Jeopardy.
She is survived by two grandsons, William and James Holubosky, one great grandson, Micah Miller, nephew, Daniel Kopko, niece, Karen Yerke, cousins, Georgeann and Paul Shotto, daughter in law, Diane Holubosky, brother, John Durkot. She was also predeceased by two sons, John and Larry Holubosky. A viewing for family and friends will be on Wednesday, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, 6 to 8 pm, with a Panachyda Service at 7 pm. A Blessing Service will be in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Minooka.
