Mary E. Lees, 62 of Scranton, passed away Thursday after a brief illness in the Sacred Heart Hospice, Dunmore. Her husband of 43 years is James Lees. Born in Scranton, Mary was the daughter of the late Ronald W. and Elizabeth M. Lesavage Godfrey. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Mary was a sewing instructor for White’s Sewing Center of Scranton until her brief illness. She is also survived by one son, Joseph Lees, Scranton, one daughter, Amber Bagg, Dunmore, three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bagg, Timothy Bagg and Joseph Lees Jr. Two sisters, Ann Shields and husband Joseph, Scranton, Rhonda DeNunzio and husband Frank, Hamlin, one brother, Ronald Godfrey Jr. and wife Joan, Scranton, nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, 4 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will be private.
