Patrick J. Jordan 78, formerly of Olyphant, died Saturday at Abington Manor. Born in Scranton to the late Walter and Marie Neary Jordan, he was a graduate of the Scranton School District, earned an associate degree, served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard, and was of the Catholic Faith. Patrick worked for many years as a Scranton School Bus driver, for Scranton Corrugated Co., Panel Prints and was a dispatcher for AAA Emergency Road Service, right up to his illness. He is survived by one son, Patrick J. Jordan Jr. and wife Mayra, VA, one daughter, Debra Saar and husband Jeffrey, Lake Ariel, one step-son, Thomas Stanko and wife Erin, one sister, Catherine Jordan, VA, two brothers, Walter Jordan and wife, Evelyn, Scott Twp., Thomas Jordan and wife, Fran, Taylor, and his former wife Karen Jordan, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by four siblings, Betty Rohland, Ann Marie Rama, Robert and James Jordan. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday 4 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with services by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private at a later date.
