Paul L. Lowe Jr., 65 died on Sunday, surrounded by his family at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife of 45 years is Patricia L. June Lowe. Born in Scranton, He is the son of the late Paul L. Sr. and Dorothy Hughes Lowe. Paul was a 1970 graduate of West Scranton High School, a member of the Jackson Street Baptist Church and Sunday school, where he was a former Deacon and former member of Boy Scout Troop 4, and was a retired electrician. He was a member of the IBEW local 81, for 40 years, the Acacia Lodge 579, where he was a Master Mason, and past member of the Keystone Consistory. Paul was an avid hunter, loved fishing with his grandchildren, and riding the quad. His greatest blessings were spending time with his children and his family, and he always enjoyed going to breakfast to socialize and visit with his friends. Always calming was his back yard and nature, which he enjoyed thoroughly and he fought a courageous battle for many years with kidney disease.
Paul is also survived by one son, Paul L. Lowe III and wife Sara, Jefferson Township, one daughter, Pamela Fenick and husband Michael, Clarks Summit, four grandchildren, Christopher David and Colton Paul Lowe, Michael Ray and Mila Koryn Fenick, two sisters, Linda Lowe and Dani Olfano, both of Scranton. Sisters in law, Jossie Lowe, Becky Dagger, Janis Dagger, Sheila Valenta, Brothers in law, David Dagger, Raymond Dagger, Paul Valenta, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother, Daryl Lowe and one brother in law, Guy Olfano. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery, Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, 4 to 8 pm. Masonic Services will be held at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your charity of choice in Paul’s name.
