Richard E. Schomburg, 84, of Scranton, died on Thursday at home. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Goff Schomburg. Born in Binghamton, New York, he was of the Baptist faith, a graduate of the Scranton School District, a Navy Veteran and retired from Anemostat. Richard sang with the Barbershoppers, volunteered at the Keystone Rescue Mission and was a past president of the Anemostat Union. He is survived by his wife Judith, six sons, Craig, Keith, both of North Carolina, Rick, Ohio, Perry, Eynon, Eddie, Todd, both of Avoca, one daughter, Amy Lohman and husband Timothy, Scranton, five grandchildren, Courtney, Jacob, Alivia, Matthew, and Hailey Schomburg, nieces, and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Didi Moore.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, at 10 am, in the Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Road, Clarks Summit 18411. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, West Scranton
