Robert M. Seber, 64, of East Scranton, passed Wednesday at Moses Taylor Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Lucille Walsh Seber. Bob was a graduate of West Scranton High School and was a United States Army veteran serving in Korea. He had been employed at McKinney Corporation until its closure and retired from Sandvik Steel.
Bob was a “big” New York Yankees, Philadelphia Eagles and Pitt fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Petroziello and husband, David Jr.; his grandson, Dylan Petroziello; two sisters, Ann Marie London and husband, Robert, Daleville; and Sharon Venturi, Scranton; his longtime companion, Martha Zaleski, nieces, Michelle Herrera and husband, Ray; Jessica Rudolfi Bower and Jennifer Barycki; nephews, Paul Venturi and Angelo Rudolfi; great-nephews, Kyler Venturi, Braedyn, Kellyn and Jamesyn Herrera; and cousins.
A funeral service will be officiated by Deacon Carmine Mendicino on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton. Interment with military honors will follow services at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Minooka.
Viewing for family and friends will be today, 4 to 6 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.
