Robert William Yeager Jr.

Robert William Yeager Jr., 85, of West Scranton, passed away peacefully Sunday at home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the widow of loving wife, Mary Ann Yeager, who passed away in 2002. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice Sutliff Yeager. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before retirement, he worked for Asplundh as a Tree Trimmer. He is survived by his daughter Wendy Mangan, Scranton, and son Bobby and wife Kristin, Ransom Twp, and brother, Charles Yeager , Pittsburgh, five grandchildren; Hope, Aubrey and Tessa Mangan, Bobby and Emery Yeager. He was  preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Yeager; parents Robert Sr and Alice and infant daughter Angel. Robert was a coach for many years for the West Side Jets and West Side Little League as well, he raced at Moc-A-Tek, Penn-Can, Herb Harvey and Grandview Speedways.

Services officiated by Msgr. Thomas M. Muldowney will be held on Friday at 10 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, 4 to 7 pm and Friday morning, 9 till time of Service in the funeral home.
