Rose Ann T. Wesley, 88, of Scranton, passed on Saturday at Allied Skilled Nursing. Her husband, James A. Wesley, passed in 1977. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Alice Gallagher Walsh. Rose Ann was educated at South Catholic High School, was of the Catholic Faith and was a homemaker nurturing her daughter, sons and grandbabies. She was a loving mother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and dear friend to many. Rose Ann enjoyed completing word searches, had great sense of humor and loved cooking for her family. Rose Ann is survived by her daughter and best friend, Rose Mary Wesley, Moosic, four sons, James J. Wesley, Moosic, William Wesley and wife Dawn, Scranton, Donald Wesley, Scranton, Joseph Wesley, Scranton, seven grandchildren Kelly Shaffer (Jim), Melissa Wesley, Jessica (Todd) Ferretti, James (Tammy) Wesley, William Wesley Jr., Anthony (Kristen) Wesley, and Joseph D. Wesley (Alyssa), 14 great grandchildren, Amber, Kevin, Jamie, Maya, Owen, Elsa, Grace, Chase, Cole, Jacob, Mackenzie, Quinn, Rowan, and Cooper, two great-great granddaughters, Aaliyah and Elliot, two brothers, Joseph Walsh, Thomas Walsh and wife Peggy, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James and her sister Catherine Smith. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad, West Scranton by the Rev. Richard Fox at 10 AM. Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
