Sue Ann Sniegowski, 80, of Scranton died Wednesday morning, July 7th, at Oakwood Terrace assisted living center in Moosic. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Sniegowski Sr. who died in 2018.
Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Stanko Dubish. She was a 1959 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Scranton school district. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic church.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Oakwood Terrace and the nurses from Compassionate Care Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Sue.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Sniegowski Jr. and his wife Diane, Old Forge; and John Sniegowski and his wife Christine, Fairfax VA.; and four grandchildren Rachel, Meaghan, Jason, and Matthew Sniegowski.
She was preceded in death by her sister Marion Dubish.
Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held Friday at 10am at St Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Mifflin Avenue at Linden Street, Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Leonard A. Martin, SJ, Pastor. Interment will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow. Viewing for family and friends will be Thursday, July 15th from 4 to 7 pm at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Panachyda will be at 6:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Those attending the Funeral Liturgy are requested to go directly to the church for 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Sue to the Alzheimer’s Association, 57 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
